What is coaching?
We think these 6 points nicely sum up what coaching is about;
- Coaching is essentially a conversation
- Coaching is about learning (yet a coach is not a teacher)
- Coaching is more about providing the right questions than providing answers
- Coaching is about change and transformation
- Coaching is about reinvention
- Coaching also operates on an emotional plane
“The Complete Guide to Coaching at Work” (Zeus & Skiffington, 2000)
Our coaching gives you the space to rise above your day to day challenges and create a space so that you can explore your challenges strategically and find solutions. Coaching enables you to work one to one and take a more objective view of any personal and professional development issues while being fully supported by your coach.
Although coaching follows a process, any agenda for the coaching always comes from the client. The coach is responsible for ensuring that process enables the client to explore their agenda and move to action.
If you want to make a change in your life, business or organisation and maximise your potential, perhaps in a management or leadership role, then our Executive Coaching and Development will enable you to set a clearly defined vision and strategy needed to achieve your goals and help you do just that.
WHO DO WE COACH? We work with senior executives, directors, business managers, small business owners, team leaders, teams, and professional people. We work with our clients both on a face to face basis and via the telephone or Skype where possible. A key feature of working with us is our free “Get to know us call” to enable both parties to assess if and how we can work together. The ‘fit’ between a coach and client is critical for both parties and we like to get it right!
WHAT DO WE SPECIALISE IN? Our particular specialization is in helping clients to improve their leadership, communication and people skills.
Other topics include;
- Behavioural Change
- Leadership Development
- Team performance
- Emotional Intelligence
- Time Management and planning
- Career Coaching and important decision making
CASE STUDIES AND FEEDBACK
HOW DOES IT WORK? Coaching relationships are usually focused and tend to exist for a specific medium term period, say three to six months. They consist of a series of 1.5 to 2 hour sessions, supported by online & telephone contact. For a typical 6 month contract you can expect up to 6 face to face or Skype meetings. The coaching programme is agreed with the client beforehand and is focused solely on the needs of the client.
